Lifeskills Program
Developing skills to keep life in balance and to stay healthy is important for those students planning to work in rural areas in the future- and for everybody generally. Taking pleasure in life’s activities is great for mental health. So we think it’s important for our members to get have some fun events to attend, and some to keep their mind active!!!
A series of educational, recreational, and social events will run throughout the year including talks, discussion panels, and practical sessions.
For those members that attend three or more events, they will receive a certificate to put in their portfolio (if in medicine) or CV, signed by the head of the rural clinical school.
Events planned or passed this year:
- Yoga class
- Meditation Class
- Massage Night
- Mental Health Information Night
- Salsa Night
