Rural Appreciation Weekend (RAW)

1-4 October

Here it is again! RAW and RAW10! This page will keep you updated with all things RAW and information on how you can be involved in this multi-award winning and national event!

RAW10 will be held in Dunedoo on a sheep, cattle and cropping property over 1-4 October.  At the event will be over 120 students from 29 rural health clubs around the country!  Further to this, local high school students will attend on the Sunday of the weekend to learn more about what it is like to work in rural practice and gather information about going to uni.

Registration

Registration opened 15 July and closes on 30 August.  Registration is $75 for uni students and free for high school students, which includes all food, transport (for NSW/ACT clubs), activities and merchandise.  To register click here.

NSW/ACT Clubs

Your University’s Rural Health Club will be arranging your transport to attend RAW.  If you don’t know who your RAW contact is from your club, email us: .  Transport is included in your $75 registration fee, unless otherwise specified by your Rural Health Club Executive.

Interstate clubs

You’ll be required to fly to Sydney at your own or your club’s expense prior to 10am on Friday 1st July.  From Sydney, you can drive or catch the RAW bus which will cost up to $100 max.  That said, it’s highly likely it will be much cheaper. Detailed costings for the RAW bus will be provided after the close of applications.  We strongly recommend you contact your Rural Health Club Executive prior to registering for RAW10 to see if your club can subsidise any additional transport costs.
