RAW Activities

RAW 09 will be absolutely jam packed with amazing events to keep you enetertained.  This year we will have a ex-paramedic talk about envenomation treatment for snake bite as well as show you some of Australia’s dealiest snakes!  We will have a local Indigenous group teach you about bush medicine and Aboriginal culture.  There will be rural health professionals come out to talk about their experiences in rural health and network with our delegates.  You will get to meet other medical, nursing and allied health students throughout the country and of course we will facilitate this by having a few bush bashes to allow your inner party-animal get out!

RAW Kit List

As RAW is a camping weekend, RAHMS requires all delegates to bring a few things to make your time at RAW the most enjoyable.  Please note that this year you will need to bring your own reusable cutlery, plates, bowls and cups.  The RAW crew will have washing equipment available.

 

For those people who do not have tents – please remember that you will require to bring your own ground mat (e.g. lie low or foam mat) to use.  RAHMS will provide tents for you.

Transport

Transport will be organised individually on a club to club basis.  To find out more information about your transport please copntact your rural health club as per details below:

For UNSW, BREAATHHE, MIRAGE and Interstate Delegates you will be catching the UNSW bus.  The UNSW bus will be leaving at Gate 9, UNSW on High St at 9am sharp on Friday 2 October.  You should have received an email about these specifics separately.  The UNSW bus contact is Duane Collins – ">. The UNSW bus will return to Sydney by 9pm on 5 October.
